Our Work

The GOTV Collaboration is a network of local non-profit organizations and agencies working together to improve voter turnout and civic engagement in the City of Hartford.

Our Members

Advocacy to Legacy works to educate individuals, families and communities on how to advocate for themselves to change lives and leave a legacy.

The Arc of CT Vision: To partner with people living with intellectual and developmental disability for EQUAL participation and inclusion in the communities of Connecticut and to be the leader in partnering and advocating for equality of opportunity and equality of choice.

Asian Pacific American Coalition of Connecticut's Vision To engage in advocacy, education, outreach, interagency, and community collaboration to improve the well-being of the APA community in CT.

Blue Hills Civic Association empowers the people living and working in the Blue Hills and surrounding communities to create stable and attractive neighborhoods through organizing, advocacy, and multi-generational programs.

The BSL Educational Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit charitable arm that focuses on providing scholarships to college-ready students, youth development programs, training, and development. 

The Center For Latino Progress – CPRF (previously known as the CT Puerto Rican Forum) mission is to advance the socio-economic conditions of the community at large, with emphasis on Hispanics through education, training, supportive services, leadership development and advocacy.

Community Capacity Builders works with various stakeholders to help them listen to each other, work and decide together, and include all voices, resulting in positive community change.

Common Cause in Connecticut is a nonprofit, nonpartisan citizens’ lobby working for open, honest, and accountable government for everyone. Our members and allies made history on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th, 2022 at the forefront of a statewide movement of voters that amended our state constitution by a very strong 60% margin to allow for Early Voting!

The mission of the Connecticut Democracy Center is to inspire people of all ages to engage in civic life and strengthen their communities. We envision a society where everyone is empowered to participate in our democracy. The Connecticut Democracy Center (CTDC) provides people with a lifetime pathway to active citizenship and the tools to take civic action in their own communities.

CT Data Collaborative is a network of Hartford area non-profit organizations, government agencies, and philanthropic partners that facilitates data sharing and data integration among its partners.. Our mission is to connect people and data to increase informed decision-making and advance an equitable Connecticut

Dodd Human Rights Impact fosters a culture of human rights at UConn, in Connecticut, and around the world through outreach and engagement. We develop and support programs and initiatives that seek to directly impact communities by helping them meet their human rights challenges.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Hartford Alumnae Chapter membership includes more than 100 professional women in the fields of Education, Government, Corporate America, and the nonprofit sector. Since 1947, our chapter has been a driving force in the Greater Hartford area with a purpose to provide services and programs that enlighten, engage and educate our community on social issues that have a direct impact on the African American community. 

El Show De Analeh is an innovative half-hour Spanish language television talk show that informs, empowers and entertains  the dynamic and diverse Latino community with programming that highlights and focuses on issues facing all Latinos today!. .

FaithActs for Education is Connecticut’s only Black-led education advocacy organization. We are people of faith building power to get our children the education they deserve. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to graduate from college, take care of their family, and fulfill their God-given potential. We build relationships, we build leaders, and we build power through community organizing and civic engagement. .

Generational Wellbeing Inc is dedicated to helping male youths and adults become the dynamic and healthy men they were meant to be. Our focus on six key characteristics – Education, Mental Health, Technology, Creating Stable Futures, Advocacy, and Strengthening Leadership – allows us to provide a holistic approach to personal growth and development. .

Hartford Health Initiative's mission is to improve equitable healthcare access and improve health outcomes for residents in the City of Hartford.

Hartford International University Vision: An educational institution where a consciousness of God is cultivated and shared. We believe strong religious institutions and healthy communities of faith are necessary to the well being of individuals and society. We affirm the goodness of religious differences that exist in the world and we support faithful living in a pluralistic and multi-faith environment. Hartford NEXT, Inc. (HNXT) is the coalition of Hartford’s 13 Neighborhood Revitalization Zones (NRZs) and the City of Hartford.  HNXT serves as the collective voice of Hartford residents and stakeholders working to strengthen and grow the Hartford community.  

Hartford Public Library's Mission The Library will be a national leader in redefining the urban public library in the 21st century as an innovative and stimulating place where people can learn and discover, explore their passions, and find a rich array of resources that contribute to a full life.

The Hartford Votes~ Hartford Vota Coalition is a nonpartisan organization with a mission to increase voter engagement in the City of Hartford.

Health Equity Solution's mission is to advance health equity through anti-racist policies and practices and our vision is for every Connecticut resident to attain optimal health regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.

Hispanic Health Council's Mission To promote equity and address health disparities for Hispanics, Latinos, and other vulnerable communities through research, advocacy, and culturally resonant services.

The City of Hartford Registrar of Voters provides election and voting information, and strives to increase voter enrollment and participation, maintain voter files, conduct elections, primaries and referendums and to uphold the integrity of the electoral process.

The League of Women Voters is a national non-partisan political organization established in 1920, the same year the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guaranteed women the right to vote. The League is organized on the national, state, and local levels. 

Metro Hartford Alliance is an investor-based economic development partnership focused on business development and growth, retaining and attracting jobs and talent in targeted sectors, ensuring a strong urban core, and promoting the Hartford Region.



The Nancy A. Humphreys Institute for Political Social Work was founded in 1995 by the late former UConn School of Social Work Dean Nancy A. Humphreys, who believed that social workers belong in politics. From direct practice with individuals and groups to community organizing and policy development, social workers understand how policy impacts people and communities, and we are uniquely positioned to support the political voices and power of those we serve.  .



ReJoyce-CT is a social action non-profit organization dedicated to providing support while advocating, strengthening and serving the needs of our communities.  Our purpose is to enrich the lives of individuals residing in Hartford and creating positive environments.  


The San Juan Center strives to provide social and economic development  services for low- and moderate-income residents  of Hartford, Connecticut.. 


The Office of the Secretary of State's Vision is to be the leader in providing prompt quality service, increasing access to information, and promoting participation in the democratic process
