Our Work

The GOTV Collaboration is a network of local non-profit organizations and agencies working together to improve voter turnout and civic engagement in the City of Hartford.

Our Members - GOTV Grantees

Blue Hills Civic Association empowers the people living and working in the Blue Hills and surrounding communities to create stable and attractive neighborhoods through organizing, advocacy, and multi-generational programs.

The BSL Educational Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit charitable arm that focuses on providing scholarships to college-ready students, youth development programs, training, and development. 

The Center For Latino Progress – CPRF (previously known as the CT Puerto Rican Forum) mission is to advance the socio-economic conditions of the community at large, with emphasis on Hispanics through education, training, supportive services, leadership development and advocacy.

The mission of the Connecticut Democracy Center is to inspire people of all ages to engage in civic life and strengthen their communities. We envision a society where everyone is empowered to participate in our democracy. The Connecticut Democracy Center (CTDC) provides people with a lifetime pathway to active citizenship and the tools to take civic action in their own communities.

CT Data Collaborative is a network of Hartford area non-profit organizations, government agencies, and philanthropic partners that facilitates data sharing and data integration among its partners.. Our mission is to connect people and data to increase informed decision-making and advance an equitable Connecticut

FaithActs for Education is Connecticut’s only Black-led education advocacy organization. We are people of faith building power to get our children the education they deserve. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to graduate from college, take care of their family, and fulfill their God-given potential. We build relationships, we build leaders, and we build power through community organizing and civic engagement. .

Hartford Health Initiative's mission is to improve equitable healthcare access and improve health outcomes for residents in the City of Hartford.

Hartford NEXT, Inc. (HNXT) is the coalition of Hartford’s 13 Neighborhood Revitalization Zones (NRZs) and the City of Hartford.  HNXT serves as the collective voice of Hartford residents and stakeholders working to strengthen and grow the Hartford community.  

The Hartford Votes~ Hartford Vota Coalition is a nonpartisan organization with a mission to increase voter engagement in the City of Hartford.

Health Equity Solution's mission is to advance health equity through anti-racist policies and practices and our vision is for every Connecticut resident to attain optimal health regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.

ReJoyce-CT is a social action non-profit organization dedicated to providing support while advocating, strengthening and serving the needs of our communities.  Our purpose is to enrich the lives of individuals residing in Hartford and creating positive environments.  

The San Juan Center strives to provide social and economic development  services for low- and moderate-income residents  of Hartford, Connecticut..

Our Coalitions Members

Advocacy to Legacy works to educate individuals, families and communities on how to advocate for themselves to change lives and leave a legacy.

Community Capacity Builders works with various stakeholders to help them listen to each other, work and decide together, and include all voices, resulting in positive community change.

Dodd Human Rights Impact fosters a culture of human rights at UConn, in Connecticut, and around the world through outreach and engagement. We develop and support programs and initiatives that seek to directly impact communities by helping them meet their human rights challenges.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Hartford Alumnae Chapter membership includes more than 100 professional women in the fields of Education, Government, Corporate America, and the nonprofit sector. Since 1947, our chapter has been a driving force in the Greater Hartford area with a purpose to provide services and programs that enlighten, engage and educate our community on social issues that have a direct impact on the African American community. 

The Nancy A. Humphreys Institute for Political Social Work was founded in 1995 by the late former UConn School of Social Work Dean Nancy A. Humphreys, who believed that social workers belong in politics. From direct practice with individuals and groups to community organizing and policy development, social workers understand how policy impacts people and communities, and we are uniquely positioned to support the political voices and power of those we serve.  .

Common Cause in Connecticut is a nonprofit, nonpartisan citizens’ lobby working for open, honest, and accountable government for everyone. Our members and allies made history on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th, 2022 at the forefront of a statewide movement of voters that amended our state constitution by a very strong 60% margin to allow for Early Voting!.

The League of Women Voters is a national non-partisan political organization established in 1920, the same year the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guaranteed women the right to vote. The League is organized on the national, state, and local levels. 

The City of Hartford Registrar of Voters provides election and voting information, and strives to increase voter enrollment and participation, maintain voter files, conduct elections, primaries and referendums and to uphold the integrity of the electoral process. .  .

YWCA Hartford Vision: To become a community with unlimited opportunities to un-limit opportunity. We promote change at a systemic level and through improved lives for individuals and families in our community. Increasingly, the paramount theme is for every woman to achieve economic security. YWCA pursues its mission through advocacy, programs and services.  .  .
